About the role:
Join a highly regarded nationwide law firm as a Junior Costs Draftsman, working remotely in a supportive and flexible environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to kick-start or enhance your career in legal costs, with full training and development support, including assistance in pursuing the prestigious Association of Costs Lawyers (ACL) qualification.

Key responsibilities:

• Preparing detailed bills of costs with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Assisting in the negotiation of costs to secure favorable outcomes for clients.
• Managing a varied caseload with a focus on dealing with HDR claims.
• Conducting legal research and ensuring compliance with all relevant procedural standards.
• Liaising effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

• A foundational knowledge of legal procedures or experience in a legal setting.
• Interest in pursuing a career in legal costs management.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in written and verbal communication.
• Familiarity with cost preparation is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
