The role

We are seeking an ambitious Senior Associate Solicitor specialising in Wills and Probate to lead and grow a newly established Private Client team in Bury. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in wills, probate, estate planning, and private client law, combined with a passion for supervision and training. Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Team Building: Develop, supervise, and manage a growing team of private client specialists. Foster an environment of collaboration, mentorship, and professional growth.

• Expert Legal Work: Handle a complex caseload, including wills, trusts, estate administration, probate applications, and inheritance tax planning.

• Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing empathetic, clear, and practical legal advice.

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with legal standards and keep up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations.

• Business Development: Support the growth of the firm through marketing initiatives, networking, and maintaining high client service standards.

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with a minimum of 7 years’ PQE in Wills and Probate.

• Proven ability to supervise, mentor, and manage a team.

• Strong technical knowledge in wills, probate, estate planning, and trusts.

• STEP membership or equivalent qualifications are highly desirable.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

• Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse caseload with strong organisational skills.
